Case Study: Modernizing a Brighton Classic
For many homeowners in Livingston County, the biggest obstacle to a modern aesthetic is the prevalence of builder-grade honey oak cabinetry and wire shelving. In this recent Brighton kitchen remodeling project, our goal was to eliminate the visual clutter and improve functionality without changing the home's footprint. We started by removing the bulky soffits and original oak cabinets, replacing them with floor-to-ceiling grey shaker style cabinetry. This switch immediately elevated the ceiling height visually and provided 30% more usable storage.
The transformation extended to the pantry, where we removed standard wire racks that often lead to tipping items and wasted space. We installed a custom wood pantry system designed to maximize corner storage and organization. To ensure the renovation lasts, we installed waterproof Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring and durable quartz countertops, perfect for a busy household. This project is a prime example of how Community Construction brings high-end design and practical durability to home renovations in Brighton, MI.
