From 1990s Dated to Modern Day Spa: A Traverse City Bathroom Transformation

For many homeowners, the master bathroom is a space that starts and ends the day. But what happens when that space is stuck in a different decade? That was the challenge our client, Theresa Miles, faced with her 1990s-era bathroom in Traverse City. She was searching for one of the best bathroom remodelers in the area to bring her vision of a modern, luxurious retreat to life, and we were thrilled to partner with her.
The "Before": A Step Back in Time

The original bathroom featured many hallmarks of its time: dated tile with accent pieces, a bulky corner jetted tub, a standard plastic shower insert, and brassy, ornate fixtures. While functional, the space felt dark, heavy, and was no longer serving the client's style or needs. It was clear this bathroom renovation was overdue.
The "After": A Stunning Transformation

As a dedicated bathroom remodeling contractor, our goal was a complete overhaul. This Community Construction bathroom remodel focused on clean lines, modern materials, and spa-like comfort. Here’s how we, as an experienced bathroom remodeler, did it:
- Heated Ceramic Tile Floors: We replaced the old tile with beautiful, large-format ceramic tiles. The hidden gem? An underfloor heating system, providing ultimate comfort on chilly Traverse City mornings.
- Custom Palisade Walk-In Shower: The cramped plastic shower is gone! In its place stands a gorgeous walk-in shower featuring waterproof Palisade wall tiles. This shower remodel is a perfect example of a modern bathroom design. These large panels mimic the look of natural stone without the grout lines, creating a seamless, high-end, and easy-to-clean surface.
- Elegant Freestanding Tub: We removed the bulky built-in tub, instantly opening up the room. A modern, stand-alone soaking tub now serves as a stunning centerpiece, perfect for ultimate relaxation.
- Granite Vanity & Modern Fixtures: The vanity was upgraded with a clean, durable granite countertop. We complemented it with new sinks, contemporary brushed gold faucets, and matching arched mirrors and lighting. This is one of our favorite bathroom vanities to date, creating a bright, cohesive, and elegant preparation space. It’s a solution that works for any bathroom remodel or bathroom renovation. Even if you're just looking for small bathroom ideas or planning a small bathroom remodel, upgrading the vanity is key!
- Fresh Paint & Finishes: A fresh coat of light, neutral paint brightened the entire room, making it feel larger and more serene.

A Word From Our Happy Client:
"We love our new bathroom! Our team (Randy, Conner) worked tirelessly to meet our timelines and expectations of quality. Mostly a seamless experience, aside from a few snags with materials. We are happy with the outcome and love using our master bath. Thanks to Talal for his guidance and timely communications."
